Brilliant light yellow color with green hints. Intense and rich nose, typical of the variety, with citrus, white stone fruits, pear and hints of oak. Full mouth, creamy, with excellent balance, freshness and finesse. Persistent after taste aromas with long finish.
Pair with white meats in rich creamy sauces, roasted vegetables, sweetbreads, grilled fishes in white sauces and smoked fishes.
Alpha Estate Description
100% Chardonnay sourced from the single block "Kaliva" in the PGI Florina. Skin contact under inert atmosphere at low temperature, controlled alcoholic fermentation by indigenous flora isolated from the specific block, in fine grain, white toasted Tronçais oak barrique casks with regular stirring on fine lees for 7 months.

The barrel-fermented Alpha Estate 2022 Chardonnay Ecosystem Tramonto (in a heavy glass bottle) remains primary and fresh. Barrique and seven months of lees aging are great complements to the fruit profile. It is not overwhelming or distracting. The bouquet sports orchard fruit, Golden Delicious apple, sweet almond and honey on the crisp, mid-weight finish. There is background mineral definition as well. Tramonto is the name of the vineyard with clay loam soils. Anticipated Maturity: 2024-2032
